The project
Perum Jasa Tirta II operates the Tarum Timur electric pumps (PETT) in Karawang, West Java. Spektrum replaced the gearbox of pump No.3, handling the lifting and installation of the new unit and the checks needed to bring the pump back into service.
It follows our earlier work at the same station: the rehabilitation of PETT No.1, including a pump gearbox replacement, in 2023.
How the work was done

1Unpacking
The new gearbox was lifted out of its shipping crate.
2Installation
The gearbox was lowered into place and aligned with the pump drive train.
3Lube oil pressure check
Lubrication pressure was verified before start-up.
4Start-up from the control panel
The pump was started and monitored from its control panel.
5Vibration monitoring
Vibration readings were taken after start-up to confirm smooth running.
